Originally established in 2004, EcoGenesys is an industry-leading approved compliance scheme for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, Batteries, and Packaging. Founded by producers, for producers, the organisation operates as a not-for-profit, member-owned scheme focused on delivering fair, transparent, and effective compliance support across the sector.
EcoGenesys approached Koded to modernise both its digital presence and its wider brand communication, creating a platform that could present complex regulatory and environmental information with greater clarity, structure, and accessibility.
The objective was not simply to refresh the visuals, but to create a more connected and scalable digital experience that better reflected the organisation’s professionalism, authority, and future direction.

The platform was designed and developed as a fully bespoke website experience tailored specifically around the organisation’s operational requirements and long-term objectives. Through considered UX planning, clearer content hierarchy, and improved user journeys, we created a platform that presents technical compliance information in a far more accessible, digestible format.
Alongside the front-end experience, the wider visual language was refined to create greater consistency across the organisation’s digital communications. Typography, layout structure, and supporting visual elements were all carefully considered to create a platform that felt modern, professional, and aligned with the authority of the EcoGenesys brand.
The website was also built with scalability in mind, providing the EcoGenesys team with a more flexible and manageable platform that can evolve alongside the organisation and the wider compliance landscape.
